Hiking, skiing, events and nature - located between Winterberg and Willingen, the Kaiserhof in Medelon is a retreat from where you can actively seek experience or simply relax.

We attach great importance to cordial and personal care in order to make our guests’ stay as pleasant as possible. For it, we offer elegant and comfortable accommodation and sophisticated cuisine.

The Schnorbus family has been looking after the former village pub for decades. From simple beginnings, she has created a gem that is now an insider tip for discerning guests.

Chef and hotelier in one – with a lot of verve and always relaxed, Matthias Schnorbusch and his family are the heart and soul of the business. “Where being a guest is a pleasure” is his slogan and he brings it to life with tireless dedication.

We had a great stay at the Kaiserhof. The food was an absolute highlight! It really lived up to the name of "upscale" cuisine! On the day of our departure, we stayed until lunch on purpose...

It was not just a visit, but actually a real experience. The rooms are really very high quality, tastefully and stylishly furnished. The host family is absolutely unique, humorous and warm. The food was terrific, star cuisine that more than fills you up thanks to the large portions, selected winegrowers' wines and a breakfast that is absolutely worth seeing! Great... both cuisine and stay!
The cuisine is indeed outstanding. The chef and hotelier also caters to requests and conjures up delicacies that are rarely available elsewhere. The breakfast is also of a standard not usually experienced. Very cosy atmosphere of the hotel, also due to the staff - always a casual saying from the hip. If you don't necessarily have to stay overnight in Winterberg, you'll find a real gem in Medelon. Highly recommended.

The original welcome alone by the amusingly bizarre, extremely hard-working and committed host "Matthias" was already a great pleasure for us Rhinelanders - a great entrance.
We felt very well looked after, the dinner was really excellent, the quality first class, breakfast very varied and lovingly arranged. The rooms are very nicely furnished and the beds extremely comfortable.
We will definitely come back again!

Wanderlust and party mile

Medelon, a district of Medebach, is quietly situated on the eastern edge of the Rothaargebirge.

The Sauerland is known for easily accessible nature experiences – be it hiking, cycling or skiing. There are also plenty of excursion destinations such as castles, museums and lakes.

In addition to the quieter leisure options, Medelon is an excellent base for a little more “action”. Centrally located between the adventure strongholds of Willingen and Winterberg, it is only a short distance to après ski in Winterberg, to the Mountain Bike Arena or to events such as the “Bike Week Willingen” or “Viva Willingen”.
